5 of the best free things to do in Nashville
You can enjoy these for free all year long..

🤠 Howdy, Nashville. This is The Nashville Grapevine, the newsletter that brings you (almost) all things Nashville.
Let’s face it. Nashville is expensive, and sometimes we don’t want to spend money. Here are five of the best free things to do in Nashville:
Go to a farmer’s market
Take a free workout class
Check out Nashville’s nature
Listen to free music
Walk around and explore
Let’s get into it.
PARTNER SPOTLIGHT:
RIFE HEADWEAR
Go to a Farmer’s Market
Nashville has no shortage of farmers’ markets, and depending on the day, there are plenty to check out:
Monday - Nashville Farmers’ Market
Thursday - Nashville Farmers’ Market
Take a free workout class
Whether you like working out or not, free classes are always beneficial. They allow you to try it once at no cost to you (except maybe soreness). Here are some of our favorite free workout classes in Nashville:
Sweat 440 - The Gulch - free 40-minute HIIT workout
CorePower Yoga - Green Hills - one week free of yoga
Title Boxing - Gulch, East Nashville, or Franklin - free boxing class
Fitness 1440 - South Nashville - free 3-day trial (has a sauna)
Club Pilates - The Gulch - free pilates class
Mayweather Boxing + Fitness - Midtown - free boxing and cardio class
Check out Nashville’s nature
Nashville has some beautiful scenery. Here are some of my favorite spots:
Shelby Bottoms Nature Center & Greenway - East Nashville - great for hiking, biking, and wildlife watching
Radnor Lake State Park - South Nashville - great for hiking, beautiful views, and walking
Centennial Park - Midtown - has the famous Parthenon replica and a paved walking trail
Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park - Germantown - commemorates Tennessee’s history and has a lot of great events
Listen to free music
This is Music City after all, it wouldn’t be a list without music. You may recognize some of these from our other emails, but here are some great ways to enjoy music for free:
Broadway - the obvious answer, but one we locals take for granted. These musicians live on tips and are very talented! I just recommend going during the day.
Musicians Corner - an annual concert series in Centennial Park that is free to attend.
Ryman Sidewalk Sessions - pre-show parties before Ryman shows that feature free live music.
And so much more that pops up, just check out our weekly emails on Thursdays for event details!
Walk around and explore
I love exploring new areas in Nashville and discovering what's happening. Just pick one of these and go hang out. Here are some of my favorites with recommendations if you do want to spend money:
Hillsboro Village - Fido for coffee
Fatherland District in East Nashville - Rusty Rats for shopping
The Nations - 51st Deli for lunch
Sylvan Park - Bobbie’s Dairy Dip for dessert
Wedgewood Houston - Diceys’s Pizza for dinner
