The Listening Room started in 2006. Its idea was to have music as the main attraction while enjoying food and drinks as the “background music.”

The Listening Room is located in the SoBro neighborhood and features many shows every day except Sunday, when it is closed. You buy a ticket to each show, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. A $15 minimum food/beverage order is required per person—per show. Their shows are affordable, though, and it is well worth it. I have seen the writers behind many famous songs perform and tell the background stories. That is such a unique experience and always hard to beat.
