🍽️ Restaurant Run of the Week: Baja Burrito

A hidden gem in Berry Hill..

🤠 Howdy, Nashville. This is The Nashville Grapevine, the newsletter that brings you (almost) all things Nashville.

Let’s get into it. (Stay tuned for a trivia question at the end)

Baja Burrito opened in 2000 in Berry Hill and has been a local favorite ever since. It truly is one of those spots that IYKYK (if you know you know). One of those rare restaurants in Nashville that the tourists just don’t seem to know yet, and people want to keep it that way.

Imagine Chipotle with better food and none of that corporate nonsense. When you first arrive to Baja, you may be startled by the size of the line, but it moves quickly. Get some fish tacos, a steak burrito, or anything that fits your fancy.

  • 📍Location: Berry Hill, Hundred Oaks

  • 🍴Recommendation: Can’t go wrong here

  • ⭐️ Highlight: Affordability, quality

🔎 Last Eaten Review: Burrito

Baja Burrito’s burrito quality puts Chipotle to shame, and wouldn’t you know it, it is cheaper as well. My only qualm was that the burritos can get soggy quickly, but that may just be a black bean issue. It is not the biggest burrito in the world, but you will walk out of there feeling satisfied. The ingredients are fresh, the line moves quickly, and everything is delicious. 10/10 recommend.

Name the Nashville burger joint that "Everybody Loves Raymond" creator Phil Rosenthal visited with country star Brad Paisley during a Nashville-based episode of Netflix series "Somebody Feed Phil."
