Okay so this concept is genuinely one of the most unique things going on in Nashville right now. Curry Boys BBQ is tucked into Riverside Village in East Nashville and the whole idea is Thai curry meets classic Texas BBQ, which sounds like it shouldn't make sense but it absolutely does. The menu features all the classic BBQ-inspired hits but with that Thai twist running through everything, so you're getting smoked meats with curry flavors layered in that you really don't see anywhere else in this city.

It started out in San Antonio and has since made its way to East Nashville, and the neighborhood is lucky to have it. It's not just a quick BBQ stop though, it's worth hanging out for a drink too.

What makes this place stand out isn't just the food, it's that nobody else in Nashville is doing this combo. You can get good Texas BBQ all over this city, you can get good Thai food too, but putting them together like this is a totally different experience. It's the kind of spot where you walk in not really knowing what to expect and walk out wanting to tell everyone you know about it.

If you're in East Nashville and want something that actually feels different from the usual BBQ joint or the usual Thai spot, get over to Riverside Village and check this place out. They're open every day from 11am to 9pm, or until they sell out, which happens with good BBQ. Go early if you can.

πŸ”Ž Last Eaten Review: Good Luck Cluck

They told us this one was the most popular item on the menu and yeah, it's not hard to see why. The smoked chicken thigh was tender and had this great peppery bark on it, and then you get that velvety yellow curry alongside it, and the whole thing just clicks. Everything we tried was good, but this is the one I could keep eating until I'm completely stuffed. If you only order one thing at Curry Boys, make it this.

Tender, peppery smoked chicken thigh paired with a velvety Yellow Curry.
