๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Restaurant Run of the Week: Dozen Bakery

A hidden gem down Nolensville Pike..

๐Ÿค  Howdy, Nashville. This is The Nashville Grapevine, the newsletter that brings you (almost) all things Nashville.

Letโ€™s get into it.

While Dozen technically started in 2009, it was originally just the founder, Claire Meneely, baking and selling holiday cookies out of a rented space. The product spoke for itself, and Dozen eventually grew big enough to open a bakery/cafe in 2015.

Our game plan visiting Dozen was to get a nice loaf of sourdough. We then decided to change that to sourdough, a pastry, and lunch once we saw the menu. The line was fairly long, but it moved quickly and was well worth it.

Dozen products are also featured in many coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores around town. You have probably had some of their bread or pastries and didnโ€™t even know it! Check out their website for a full list of these places.

๐Ÿ”Ž Last Eaten Review: Salami Sandwich

The salami sandwich felt like something you would get at a local deli in a small French town. It was a huge portion as well, I probably could have done half the size. The bread and salami were fresh, the butter delicious, and the pickled cucumbers brought it all together.
