If you live in Brentwood and haven't made it to Suki yet, we need to talk. Tucked into the Executive Center Drive corridor off Wilson Pike, this place has been around since 2016 and somehow still flies under the radar for many people in the area. The menu is massive; sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, hibachi dinners, teriyaki, tempura, Thai curries, bento boxes, noodles, basically something for everyone at the table, no matter how picky they are.

The rolls are the move. The Godzilla, Superman, Spicy Lobster, and Sunflower rolls are all worth ordering, and the chef's specials keep things fresh enough that you won't be eating the same meal twice. And before you even get to the rolls, order the Kasai Popper. It's a tempura-fried jalapeño stuffed with spicy tuna and cream cheese, topped with spicy mayo, eel sauce, and tobiko. It sounds like a lot, and it is, in the best way possible. You'll be thinking about it on the drive home.

If you're going for lunch, the bento boxes are a really solid deal. You get a California roll, pork dumpling, and a daily special all in one box, and it doesn't break the bank. Feeling ambitious? The sushi boat with 15 pieces of nigiri and a lineup of specialty rolls is the kind of order that turns dinner into an event.

Oh, and they have a full bar with happy hour specials. In an office park in Brentwood. Honestly just makes it better. They're open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, take reservations, and the takeout holds up well too. Do yourself a favor and get in there.

The chicken teriyaki bento box is a solid lunch call. The chicken itself was cooked well and came with just the right amount of teriyaki sauce, enough to coat every bite without drowning it. Paired with a pork dumpling and the daily special, the box covers a lot of ground for the price. The only thing you'll find yourself wishing for is more than three pieces of California roll, because by the time you get to them, they're gone and you're already thinking about ordering more. A minor complaint for an otherwise great lunch, but worth noting if you're the type who shows up for the sushi. Come hungry, or just go ahead and add a roll on the side. You'll thank yourself later.
