🍽️ Restaurant Run of the Week: Turnip Truck

A healthier Nashville option..

🤠 Howdy, Nashville. This is The Nashville Grapevine, the newsletter that brings you (almost) all things Nashville.

Let’s get into it.

John Dyke grew up on a farm in Tennessee and after living in Nashville for a couple of decades, he realized something was missing. This something was fresh produce and “real food.” Turnip Truck was started shortly after in 2001.

Turnip Truck has expanded to four locations in Nashville: Midtown, East Nashville, Gulch, and West Nashville. If you hear people talking about them around town, you usually hear about the hot bar or the salad bar, where you pay by the pound, but they also have a smoothie bar and a deli with some delicious sandwiches.

Need to get some healthy grocery shopping done? This is also your place with plenty to choose from.

🔎 Last Eaten Review: Turkey Sandwich from Deli

They rotate options around at all of their stands, but I recently had a turkey sandwich from the deli. The flavors on this sandwich were phenomenal and put most “sandwich shops” to shame. The turkey was plentiful, the bread was cooked to perfection, and the avocado did its job.
