With locations in Germantown, East Nashville, Bellevue, Franklin, and beyond, Waldo's Chicken & Beer has quietly become one of the most well-distributed local restaurant concepts in Middle Tennessee, and it has earned every single location. What started as a simple idea (really good chicken paired with really good beer) has grown into one of those spots that just works every single time no matter which location you walk into.

The whole concept is built around chicken done two ways: Southern fried and rotisserie. You can get it on the bone, on the bun, in a basket, or in a bowl, and then you add in one of eight original housemade sauces and some homemade sides. The cheese biscuits alone are worth mentioning. The Chicken Scratch Salad with rotisserie on top is one of those meals that actually makes you feel good about what you ordered without feeling like you sacrificed anything. The rotisserie chicken is fresh and well seasoned and sits perfectly on top of everything else in the bowl. But honestly the cheddar biscuit that comes with it is what puts this over the top. It's warm, cheesy, and the kind of thing you didn't know you needed alongside a salad until you had it.
